Catch crops improve soil quality and crop yields

Catch crops squeeze more profitability from your farm. A catch crop can be an economic crop in its own right or a crop that improves soil quality and yields in other areas. It could be a crop that's good for the environment or one that earns a full CAP subsidy through the EU greening programme.

Grass and legumes are superb soil-improving catch crops. They retain the nitrogen in your fields, prevent soil erosion, and improve soil fertility and structure. They're also excellent for improving a farm's biodiversity.

At DLF, we have numerous varieties suited to a huge range of soil conditions, climate types, and local needs. Ask your DLF representative to talk you through the options.
