MEZZO

MEZZO

Medicago sativa

Alfalfa/Lucerne

Top yield performance and high standability

Stunning yield of dry matter and protein

Mezzo entered the French catalogue with a surprisingly high total annual yield - close to 18 tons dry matter per year! And it shows right from the first cuts and the rest of the season: Always above other varieties.

A new standard for alfalfa yielding capacity both in terms of dry matter and protein.

Standability: Resisting lodging

The yield increase has not been obtained by giving away on any other characteristic. The standability is excellent and will ease management by allowing delays in harvest due to weather etc.

High standability also avoids contamination with soil and degradation of forage quality.

Protected against nematodes and verticillium

Breeding has equipped Mezzo with an excellent resistance to nematodes and the frequently occuring disease verticillium.

  • Generous increase in total yield
  • Oustanding standability
  • High % protein = high protein yield/ha
  • Excellent resistance to nematodes and diseases
  • Dormancy group 4
