CANDIDAME

CANDIDAME

Lolium westerwoldicum

Westerwold/annual ryegrass

Fast estalblishment in harsh conditions

Quicker establishment = short time to good ground cover = saving the playing quality

Appearance is important, but the role of Candidame is above all to secure a quick cover of the ground in difficult situations and then degenerate and disappear!

Perfect for nursing the traditional species in the mixture

We recommend a low rate of Candidame, because, as a nurse species it should produce a quick ground cover while not competing excessively withe the perennial species in the mixture.

Candidame has a darker green colour than previous generations

This is often an advantage for a more visual homogeneity.

Leaf texture

The fineness of leaves is finer and again an advantage in terms of visual merit.

  • Very quick establishment
  • Germinates at lower minimum temperatures
  • Reaches a good ground cover faster and nurses the other grasses sown at the same time
  • When the nurse job is done, it should disappear fast, and it does!
